Hon. Lucy Adame-Clark is the first Latina and first woman ever elected as Bexar County Clerk since the founding of the Republic of Texas. A lifelong San Antonio resident, she began her career with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, serving for nearly 22 years in criminal investigations before making history in public office. As County Clerk, she oversees critical records from courts, real property, and vital statistics to historic Spanish Archives dating back to the 1700s. Under her leadership, her office has launched award-winning initiatives such as Records on the Run, earning state and national recognition for innovation and service.

Deeply committed to her community, Hon. Adame-Clark has been honored with numerous awards, including the Bexar County Pioneer Award, the Liberty Bell Award, and the San Antonio Business Journal Women’s Leadership Award. She serves in leadership roles across professional and civic organizations while remaining an active volunteer and advocate in her community. A trailblazer in public service, she continues to champion accessibility, preservation, and leadership for the citizens of Bexar County.
